Plano, TX– Little Marvels Montessori will host its annual Trunk or Treat event on Friday, October 25 in the parking lot outside the main entrance to the school.
The Trunk or Treat event will take place from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, outside Little Marvels Montessori.
All current families and community members are encouraged to join.
Trunk or Treat is a family event where members of the Little Marvels Montessori community are welcome to decorate their car trunks, and either pass out treats to the students, or provide a game that is played outside of their vehicle.
Families will then park their cars and fill their bags with candy as they go around car to car. Participants are encouraged to be in costume.
Local business sponsors come and engage with families by sharing candy and their company’s story. Trunk or Treat is a time to build connections and share sweetness with one another.
“I am so excited to see everyone’s trunks and costume themes,” said Lakshmi Ramshankar, Director of Little Marvels Montessori. “This is one of my favorite traditions we hold. I love seeing all the smiles on the children’s faces, and that we are able to have an outside event this time of year.”
Families are encouraged to volunteer to bring either a game that young children can play, or candy for distribution. Games include ring toss, jump rope, or cup stack. Along with bringing candy, parents are encouraged to provide alternative healthy and nonfood options, such as pretzels, fruit gummies, pencils, easers, stamps, or stickers.
“Trunk or Treat has become a very popular option because the whole family can have fun. Not only do we get to include various businesses and organizations in our festivities, but children can accomplish a lot in a short time under safe conditions,” said Prabu Prakbar, Co-Owner of Little Marvels Montessori.
Entry to the event and participation is free. Families should bring their trunk decorations and an appetite for candy!
Little Marvels Montessori expects it to be a sweet treat for all who attend.
